“I got introduced to Solanta from one of my friends who. I trusted him and after doing some research myself, I picked Solanta. Dean walked me through the documents and the tax benefits by going Solar. The forms are not the easiest thing to fill out since I had many questions. However, Dean helped me with understanding them and the rest went pretty smoothly. I was impressed with the quality of the work. After waiting for all the paperworks to be approved, the installation process happened pretty quickly. The people cleaned up after themselves after the installation, as if no one was ever there. I have had nothing but problems with both projects and the company has not responded timely or adequately to my complaints. The solar system has not functioned fully and I am still paying the finance company and Con Ed. While Solanta represented that it would reimbursement me for the difference, they have not followed through. In all, this has been one of the most terrible experiences I have had with a contractor and I do not recommend this company to ANYONE. “Salonta installed my solar system about six months ago and the entire process was a tremendous headache. There was no heads up for when they were coming to install. There were delays and they were supposed to install. “While the people at Solanta are, at first, very friendly it has been a total nightmare actually trying to get my panels up and functioning. The panels were installed in December of 2021 and I am still paying nearly the full amount for my energy bills. After many calls to ConEd, I finally find out this is because Solanta filled out the wrong paperwork with ConEd. I alerted Solanta to this issue in May of 2022 and it took months to even get a reply. And I only got a reply after I threatened legal action. They finally filed the correct paperwork but were supposed to come out to fix another issue related to the meters. They claimed they would have someone out to resolve the issue in 2-4 weeks. It is now July of 2024 and the issue is still not resolved. To add insult to injury, after waiting another full year for my energy bills to reflect the fact that I had solar panels things still seemed really off. While there was a slight reduction in how much I was paying for one account, the other was showing absolutely no difference. I finally had a chance to go back through all my electric bills for the past three years and was able to see that the one meter was still not registering as connected to the system. I called ConEd and they confirmed that the meter was not connected to the solar panel system, despite the system producing ‘excess’ energy. I reached out to Solanta again (both via email and text) to let them know about this. I forwarded the reports from ConEd and asked them to PLEASE finally set my system up properly. It has been three weeks and they still have not responded. I honestly have never had an interaction with a business like this. Who does this? They have no moral compass and apparently feel fine with having someone pay tens of thousands of dollars to set up a system that isn’t working. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.” – Jules Rosskam ⭐⭐⭐☆☆ 2025
