What Do Customers Say About the Southwest Electric?
Positive reviews:
“I had Southwest Electric install my solar a few years ago and have been so pleased with my electricity production. I have a very small bill several months out of the year and that’s it! They explained how to get the most out of my system and tax credits. The guys were friendly and professional. I also love the way my panels look on my house and the value they bring to my property. I highly recommend Southwest Electric.” – AlanandVicki H. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 21, 2023
“SWE installed solar on both my homes β highly recommend. Quality work and so efficient! All questions were answered, I was never left in the dark, and could get an update whenever I wanted. They really put 110% into their work. This is the kind of company you want working on your home β a great company that values their customers!” – Luz L. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ September 25, 2023
Negative reviews:
“Please do not use this company. They’ll make you think they’re great, but when you have problems with your solar they won’t answer the phones and won’t reach back to you. They will take your money and that’s all they will do for you.” – Brenda C. ⭐☆☆☆☆ April 14, 2025
“Solar not working according to the SolarEdge app. I tried to contact SWE β the phone gives you an option to speak with an AI agent or a person, but neither works; both just cut off. Three days of this now. Find an alternative.” – John A. ⭐☆☆☆☆ August 1, 2025
Positive reviews:
“Southwest Electric made everything hassle-free and it was the easiest process! I definitely recommend these guys to anyone β really 5 stars.” – Joshua S. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ October 2, 2023
Negative reviews:
“I was approached by one of their salesmen at my home and signed up without doing enough research. Over the next few weeks I started comparing prices and realized that Southwest Electric was way overcharging me for an 8.2 kW system at $32,000 ($212/month). After contacting at least three other local solar companies, I received quotes that were significantly lower for the exact same system. Do your due diligence before signing up with this company. I ended up paying a $1,500 cancellation fee to get out of the contract.” – Mr. W. ⭐☆☆☆☆ November 11, 2023
Positive reviews:
“Our Southwest Electric representative, Alec, has been so helpful to us! We’ve had some roofing issues with our home builder and SWE was very supportive. Recently our inverter developed a problem and they quickly replaced it. Thank your entire team for doing such a great job!” – David Knapik ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2023
“Working with these guys was a great decision. From my first call to the final installation they were there every step of the way. Phil in the office knew what he was talking about and the crew was very professional and polite. You will not regret calling Southwest Electric!” – Dylan Rogahn ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2023
Negative reviews:
“I installed solar panels with this company 3 years ago. Two weeks ago my panels stopped producing electricity. I’ve tried to reach Southwest Electric for 2 weeks β no answer to calls, can’t even leave a voicemail, and several support tickets have gone nowhere. I spent almost $50k on panels and right now they are useless. Update: I had to pay a $399 service fee just to confirm my inverter wasn’t working β which the app already showed β only to be told SolarEdge would replace the part but Southwest Electric would need to install it. Now I can’t get a hold of anyone to find out if there will be another $399 service fee.” – Evett ⭐☆☆☆☆ September 2025
“Avoid at all costs. If they solicit your business, run. Terrible communication and sadly just a terrible company. There are much stronger choices available.” – Bob East ⭐☆☆☆☆ July 2025
