“I had this crew install on my roof over two months ago. Not seen or herd from them till today with a text because I have been unhappy. They are even stalking me on Facebook. The reginal Manager sent me a text telling me its my job to work with the Energy Company to finalize. Little do they know I have done all that and they don’t even know. I have all the releases from Duke and final paperwork. Duke Energy blames Universal Solar Direct, and I have all the documents. So, I am sitting here paying the bank and my utilities and all I get is a text. I’ve written Las Veas their headquarters and they said they would help not once but twice and still no resolve. I am having to seek a Lawyer to get this settled and my resolve is to remove the garbage from my roof and restore my home. I would recommend looking at other companies before hiring these people. Be real hard here giving them a one star. There is just to much to say and I will do it in Court. BEWARE , No response or follow-up. “Have had panels for a few years. Had several problems at installation, including broken sky lights. LG batteries failed after a year, took a year to replace. Had roof leaks. They removed panels and their roofers were to repair. Next rain still leaked. Hired a different roofing company. Universal charged $300 a panel to remove and replace, I have 35. “I agree with some of the comments.Hard to reach and won’t answer/return calls. Solar is not working and was told that it needs to be replaced due to internal errors. We were told 7 days but it’s been more than two weeks from the date of this writing and no call from them and they don’t answer calls as well.Now we have a bill from NV energy (solar is not working for a month now) plus a monthly installment payment for the solar. “Everything that Universal Solar Direct did for us was amazing, all the way up until the taxes were done and we did not receive the giant lump sum refund which we were supposed to receive and use for the down payment. Now our monthly payments are going to go up and we are on a limited income. The sales person should have known that we would not receive the tax credit in one lump sum, but that it is based on tax liability. We have no recourse and we are retired, living off of social security. The ethics of this company’s sales team are questionable. “Not my favorite sure was hot to take my money and then not respond back, block my emails and never return phone calls when your equipment malfunctioned and I didn’t even know I wasn’t producing from my panels. Then say “oh we knew since January”. I have paid close to $1,200 in electric bills back-to-back $500 during the summer when my panels produce the most juice. and still, have another one due. I am recently diagnosed with cancer, so to have these expenses on top of all of this physical stress is ridiculous. Pretending you don’t have a manager and pushing calls off and never responding back. “Just got off the phone w/Nick from Universal Solar Direct….these pompous fools think they can rip us off…I have had Solar with them for over 4 years….they scammed me…I’m a single guy in a 1200 sq ft house and I pay anywhere from $50-200 on my energy bill a month…the electric Charger for car never worked to this day and they came out several times to fix…after complaining they offered $500 cash or 3 panels…I took the panels of course and still I get bills $50-$200 a month…over 20k I paid and its all paid off. Go to Sol Up or Tesla…I make 83k a month so it doesn’t hurt me but the average Joe I feel sorry for. BTW on top of that they put 4 holes in my ceiling that dripped tar onto my furniture and they never paid for that. “This company is terrible. They overloaded our roof where it’s affecting the rafters. We have to re do our walls and roof before it literally caves in. They said there is nothing they can do. To top it off we paid extra for the pigeon protecting. Needles to say we now have a whole family living under our solar because they left 5 holes for them to climb in.
