“Got my system about 8 months ago in August 2022. The company did everything they said they were going to do and did it exactly when they said they would do it. Best contractor experience I have ever had. Virtually no problems since then but questions that arose have been promptly answered. The system was sized perfectly for our usage pattern. “Buyer Beware! I purchased an 8-panel solar pool system in 2019. In less than 3 years there was a complete system failure. When the first 3 panels failed after 2 years, August 2021, I paid $115 to replace the panels. A few months later, June 2022, the other 5 panels failed, and they charged me $575 to replace. They claimed they mischarged me originally, but I confirmed with two people in the company that was their normal fee. Based on the warranty I could not go elsewhere so they took complete advantage. Even claiming that they recorded me saying that I agreed to the price. They didn’t mention the several calls complaining about the price prior and the promise to complain to the BBB and the State of Florida for unethical behavior and price gouging. “I was left in a lurch by another solar company, and Mike Lane with Bob Heinmiller Solar came to the rescue. In a week, he had the PV system installed and up and running. I’d been waiting 7 months with another company. Mike was very thorough, kept me updated throughout, and was willing to work on a smaller size 2.8 kW PV system, which a lot of companies won’t, but I needed a smaller system because the utility here will only credit 100% of use and no excess generation. “I received an email (Oct 22, 2022) stating: Your generator has a fault. Your generator Kilgore has experienced an interruption in normal performance (E2800). Please log in to your account to view your detailed status message or contact your service/maintenance provider. I called and spoke with Ashley and told her I was receiving notification through MobileLink. I asked her if there would be a charge for them coming out and she said “NO”. When the person came out, he said said that the button has been pushed to turn off the unit. He turned it back on and handed me a bill for $225.00. I told him what Ashley said and he said it is what it is. I told him I was not paying it. I called and finally spoke with Melody and she said she would do it for $190.00 or they would not service me again. Needless to say, my husband paid it. I had my unit serviced for its year service and received a call from Ashely asking for the money. I told her I was driving and wouldn’t take that for and answer so I hung up… The next morning I received a call from Ashley at 8:15 AM asking for the money. I told her I was sleeping and hung up. I have placed 4 calls to Mark, the owner, who will not call me back. I was told first by Ashley that he would call back within the hour. I called back and was told be Melodie that he would call back that day. Yesterday I was told that he would call back by the end of day and just now I was told by Lexi that he would call me today. “I want to tell you my first experience with Bob Heinmiller solar has been stellar. I have used them for my air-condition and it was good but their solar group exceed my expectations. We need some roof work done and I had to have them come out and do removal and replacement of the panels with the rainy weather they were running behind but kept me informed. But there group was great to deal with and did an outstanding job of replacing my panels for my pool.
